NRC is critical for our country. Problem is that the opposition has misled the minorities and other vulnerable sections in our society. Taking these crowds on with brute force could be counter-productive. It could have been tackled with counter-demonstrations. But the problem is that the BJP lacks the street cred of the Shivsena. Their supporters are largely the elite classes. These elite buggers can at the most be twitter warriors and armchair intellectuals. They would never come on the street. For that the Shivsena was a credible partner. Without the SS the BJP has no control on the streets.
They should take a step back and see what patch up can be done to bring the Sena back into its fold.

Bhai, my personal opinion, so statutory warning on valueness holds good !

I don't think anything will change..The NRC has been there since 1955 (yes, some things are older than me !!). The 'what' of NRC is there since 1955 and 'How' it will be verified was billed in 2003, just for Assam. Why Assam? In 1983 Indira Gandhi gave voting rights to 4million Bangladeshis illegally living in Assam. What followed was a riot that killed around 1000 people. Due to supreme court order, the how part started and took 20 years to pass as a bill, which unsurprisingly in 2005 supreme court overruled. It's again passed in 2018, again with focus on Assam to start with. Would there be any surprise if supreme court intervene in few years time?

As far CAB,nothing has changed. The only change is, if you are of mentioned religion, entered before Dec 2014, with correct papers and perceived that you are persecuted on religious lines, then you don't need to wait 11 years for naturalisation process to start. It can start after 5 years . This is all the amendment..

What constitute a citizen (birth, parentage, naturalisation, citizenry) has been there for a long time and there is no change to it.
If you are an illegal immigrant , irrespective of what religion you are, the existing laws apply.

We are talking about implementation of huge projects that depend on Babus.. Remember Aadhar, remember demonetisation.. Like in any programme
Intention/ business case - very good
Conception/ scope of work - good
Communication - poor
Execution - don't talk about it
Implementation - results show for itself in adhar and demonetisation !!

As long as we have babus who is expected to execute and implement these grand schemes, there is nothing to worry about.. I mean, how many of you have taken Bangladeshis for entry who have produced Aadhar and voter ID as proof?!!!!

Given that NRC is to be done by local registrars and village adminstration officers, if NRC is to be implemented, expect some huge sales in Toyota Land cruiser and Mercedes CLS 500 !! . For those who deal in stocks, that's a tip for you.. buy motor companies who make premium vehicles !!

For CAB, for these bar girls, if they are bangladeshi muslims, it is status quo.. nothing has changed.. if they are illegal before, they are illegal now.. if they entered legally before, they will still be legal now.. Yes, there maybe some short term checks not with intention to deport, but to make money.. Is it bad news for mongers, don't think so.. Only time will tell !!

Yesterday it was afra tafri in kkc...

Bar managers etc were super active...

But i guess the place that i liked has some good owners and operators as they were all on the floor managing as well as seeing that people don't panick...

It's a relief in the sense that the floor boss is ready to take the beating for customers if required... I guess ppl know the place i am talking about.

Never saw this in Mumbai bars though, where the bosses left things to coatwalas...

But i guess the place that i liked has some good owners and operators as they were all on the floor managing as well as seeing that people don't panick...
