Alright, here's the review on Akira. I had to bite the bullet late last week.

In point form:

- very green
- non existent massage
- very slim and spinner, very short too
- more like 34B and not the 34D listed on the site!! I like to think I've had many cups to know this by now... When I can 100% cup my hands around each, they're not D's! They're natural though. (Don't believe me? Do a picture comparison of Keyonna vs. Akira's.)
- smooth skin all around, some prickly around the area down there
- can't touch down there, body is free to roam though
- non existent massage, again!
- crappy body slide technique, consisted of her going up and down on my back and twice each time
- no sensuality
- very disconnected from the session, she won't look you in the eyes like some MPAs would while they're on top
- very GND look, nothing sensational. Definitely 21-22 years of age.
- slow conversation
- wanted to finish me jackhammer style when I chose B/S *Sigh*
- definitely 100% Filipina, born and bred on the island. Most likely came to Canada as a child as English is perfect.
- Or, negate all this because I noticed she had a tampon stuck inside her when I asked to briefly massage her...maybe she had a bad night/week. But you know what they say about first impressions...

Overall, I can tell she is in this for the short term. Last year of post-secondary, I'm guessing funds are running dry and needs new quick and easy $ to pay for school. I am so glad I chose the 30 minute option, I don't know what we'd do if it was another 40 minutes! Anyway, I would not recommend her and I would definitely not have a second session with her. There are better, more experienced ladies at SRM. This is my 3rd or 4th time running into a short term girl at SRM within the last year... sigh... short term girls tend to give really bad sessions and aren't looking to build their clientele. This is what I get for TOFTT... like a wise gentleman on massageplanet.net told me, not exact words, but I paraphrase "screw 'em those who keep intel to themselves. They're definitely holding out."

SRM , you were my first MP experience. But after 3rd or 4th time subpar in the last year when trying out new girls, my confidence is really shaken in how well you train or screen the girls. I like ya, SRM and all but after this time... not as much.

I usually have good first sessions, I'm an easy going guy and easy on the ladies' eyes. Fit and athletic. Guess not this time. =(

Final dmg: $40 room, $100 for the worst b/s I ever had at SRM!

Yeh, np. If us guys can only avert our desires based on visuals, we'd save a lot more in this hobby.

I discovered one of my favourites of all time returned at a MP in the last week (she wasn't working when I went to see Akira), yet because of this sour experience with SRM, I have no desire to see her... think I'm getting tired of the b/s that is sometimes this hobby.

I have not seen her based on those creditionals. I wait for the newbies to get experience, sorry about your training session bud. Perhaps a discount on new ladies is in the works?

I feel very bad when I see a massageplanet.netITE who shares so much good info have a crappy session like this.

SRM is the largest MP in the GTA and it seems highly unlikely other massageplanet.netITES hadn't seen Akira before you. Some type of warning would have been nice.

On a different note:

I remember reading one of those self help books a number of years ago. Basically it stated that there are two times in your career when you're OVER paid:

At the beginning when you haven't proven yourself, and at the end, when direct reports are doing the work. Every other time you're UNDERpaid.

In the case of MP's I'm starting to think spas should give out "double coupons" for trying the new girls.

I also think newbie rates should be a little lower.
EX> $80 for a BS rather than $100

Once the new girls have proven themselves, then they can charge what the more experienced girls charge.

Otherwise, what's a client's incentive to spend $200 (door plus slide plus tip) for what's more often than not an underwhelming experience?

Yes, I understand the MPA arguments (difficult clients blah, blah, blah) but lets be honest, the business is very competitive nowadays. The experienced girls go through the same shit but over a better experience.

Anyway, just a thought.

Regarding your first point:

Some guys are easy to please. They see a spinner body type of girl and go ga ga over it. She could spit and shit on him but they'd still have the greatest experience ever.

Whereas, some of us more refined gentlemen, (and there are plenty of us here ) expects a little bit more in terms of service (within proper limits)in this hobby whether we're new or experienced.

Regarding second point, I agree with you AL. The only downside of it is who determines when a girl is experienced enough to warrant a change in her paygrade? What one guy likes may not be what the next guy likes.

There are plenty of guys who PAY to be spit and at least pissed on. (Haven't heard of any brown showers thank God)



HMMM.

What I'd suggest is a 10-15 shift "apprenticeship." For most girls that would probably average to 1-2 months. In that time she'd have different rates and be advertised as a newbie.

I'm willing to bet most of the well known spas have "mystery shoppers" to check quality control. Towards the end of the apprenticeship a mystery shopper could offer MP management feedback.

Also, MP's keep statistics on appts by girl. After a couple of months, any decent new MPAs will have started to build a repeat clientelle.

I think all of this could be a win/win.

The clients are enticed to help train the newbies, and the newbies are making money that might have gone elsewhere. $80 is better than $0.

Such a scenario gets more complicated in City of Toronto Spas, where session rates are hard to disclose to customers before the session.

excellent post, and a great idea.

When i farm out SEO and website development overseas, the guys with 0 reviews and a small portfolio will offer a HUGE discount over the going rate in exchange for experience and credibility.

Something similar should be worked in to the MP industry.
