Chat Can MPAs be trusted with Personal Information?

So I know an MPA quite well. She retired from massage and we're more like friends now and I still see her from time to time. Due to various reasons, she knows my full name, address, etc.

Has anyone been burned by an MPA before or know someone that got burned, even if inadvertently?

Take a chance.
Some sales people are busy.
No time for monkey business or gossiping or snooping.
Others, yes.
But if your insurance lady is busy.
She won't care about your info.

Find out if she is an Ontario registered and licensed insurance broker under RIBO (Google RIBO).

If so, she is legit, and is not likely to risk her license by ripping you off.

I got to know an MPA really well, seeing her for like 6 weeks straight (once week at minimum). We hit it and off and exchanged #s.. we chatted via text here and there (which I hate - traceable) anyhow she shared a lot of personal stuff with me and finally cracked and told her where I worked. I am sure this is not as big as what you are doing (license etc.) but lets be honest if these girls were in it to bust you up it could have happened way before.. she sounds legit.

A few active MPAs know a lot of personal information about me and vice versa. You're going to have to go with your gut on this one. I haven't been burned yet but who knows. Even your closest friends can betray you one day.

And I'm pretty sure insurance premiums went up for everyone. It's quite annoying actually, seeing as I'm driving way less.

You can probably trust that insurance chick, especially if you had FS with her. She won't rip you off because you know too much about her past. If you didn't do anything to her, she won't do anything to you either.

I share my details with them if they do with me. I know MPs and SPs in their real life, know their real names, actual cell numbers, jobs they have and even have a couple of FB and LinkedIn. I figure given that I could bust them they aren’t likely to create any problems for me.

if this chick is working for a legit insurance brokerage she has too much to lose by outing you. She just wants to earn the commission. And if she can get you same coverage for less money then why not.

If you really concern about your privacy give her a street near your house or wrong house number. I don't know your education background, some schools offers alumni discount program. The better your school reputation is the beetter discount. I heard Costco has cheap insurance.

Drop 5K while trying to fasten your shoelace.

I probably wasn't clear enough, I'm not worried about her ripping me off...I've been to her house and know where she lives (not that it would ever come to that).

As hangul alluded to, I'm more worried about the hobby and personal life overlapping and the risk of something happening (i.e. slipping) inadvertently.

Insurance bookers offer better deals than agent working for one insurance company. The drawback with bookers is that if you need an insurance claim, it will take longer to process. If you want even cheaper insurance, increase your deductibles.

I hear what you're saying but I'm a semi legit guy and most of those MPAs don't "suck or fuck", at least not 10 guys a day . Plus, out of the dozens of MPAs that I've seen, I'm only close to a few of them. But point taken...
