The man who discovered Insulin has been cancelled by the Canadian Mint, and the Canadian government.
Apparently, being White is so wrong and so racist, that even when you discover medicine that saves millions of lives, you still deserve to be cancelled.
Fred Banting, who co-discovered Insulin, a medicine that helps millions around the world extend their lives day-by-day, isn't worthy of praise.
Why? Because he is White.
This is real life. I am not making this up.
One of the most important medical disoveries of the past 100 years isn't worthy of commemoration because the person(s) who discovered it were White.
Banting not only discovered Insulin, he also served in World War 1.
So, yes, a war hero and a brilliant doctor - who discovered Insulin - is cancelled for being White.
Of course, all the 'hate whitey' minorities who support Banting being cancelled will still continue to use Insulin when they need it.
The Royal Canadian Mint yesterday deleted Nobel Laureate Frederick Banting from a coin commemorating the discovery of insulin, but honoured James โSkookum Jimโ Mason of the Tagish First Nation in a separate coin marking discovery of gold in the Yukon. The decision follows a 2019 cabinet policy to address โcolonialism, patriarchy and racismโ in historical observances: โThis contributes to the ongoing process of truth-telling and reconciliation.โ
