Review Candy @ Soul Spring

Attractive, maybe under 40, slender spinner in standard yoga pants and a low cut t-shirt showing pushed up cleavage. This should be the recipe for a positive outcome, right?

It begins with her version of one foot at a time back-walking. It’s not really working for me so I ask her to do a regular massage. Ahhh, now I realize why she was doing her back-walking thing. She has no clue how to give a regular massage either. Just a bunch of pressing and squeezing without any real purpose, oil, or lotion.

So maybe it’s about a great tease instead? Nope, not getting that either. Then just when I’m about to get up and put this massage out of its misery, she asked if she can use some oil. What??? Okay, so with hope burning eternal, let’s see where this goes. She rubs it on my back, bum, and legs and spreads it around but still no real massage or tease. So, the point is? Hydration maybe??

Then suddenly, right out of the blue, ‘the question’ comes accompanied by an ‘inflation promoting’ highly optimistic quote for service. Which finally settles back in the normal range. At least she has talent in some area. Yet, not enough to remotely lure me back for a sequel. This is definitely a one and done.

This place already feels a bit rundown for a newer opening. The shower is down the hall in the bathroom and just looking at it makes me yearn for the rooms with showers at Ting Ting, XP, or even KLMT to name a few.

Then there is the annoying trend of the newer to the city SPs asking silly high amounts for services. Even in cases where their basic massage is crap. Yes, the word is out as others have noted. This is the land of milk and honey. Massage skills an asset but totally not required.

Thanks for the review, I had a very similar experience there a while ago. It was so underwhelming I forgot to even do a review. It seems there's some ladies that think they can work in Edmonton and have absolutely no skill and still demand high prices.

Definitely will never go there again, they don't deserve our hard earned money.

That’s too bad. Attire and cleavage are big to me. Even if it’s just an average massage would do for me. Especially since insurance is a go here I believe.

If you suck at massage just do the whole finger nail feather weight pressure tease thing

Thanks Needarub. Like yourself and Tbone, I had a similarly lacklustre experience but chose not to review for lack of anything positive to say.
I sometimes find positives in others negatives experiences when I try them out, but this was poor from the start.

Back walking, for the most part, does nothing for me, so declined the offer. The rest was almost word for word.

I saw her and she gave me a decent back massage, during the massage she wouldn't let me touch her butt and on the flip started negotiating inflated pricing
for HE with and without touching; after 5 minutes of negotiating I didn't even care about the HE and got dressed and left 10 minutes early

Your not wrong, but I never feel very comfortable giving bad reviews, (love giving a good one.)

The bad reviews, with fair assessments and written with no malice are the most useful on these boards. This was a very useful one,

When we enjoy positive experiences that are clearly YMMV (the therapist is not interested in seeing her name written up), a glowing review is less useful as the sp will probably cut back on her services.

I believe I saw this Candy. She came after I was getting my first massage and I saw her before I walked out. She is probably gone now.

Made the mistake of wanting to give this place another try. (I now live in the northwest, and really close to this place.) Should have gone to Rosewater, which is even closer...but oh well lesson learned.

Pretty sure, they now have a newer lady, and that is who took my walkin. Should have walked out when she was insisting on cash, instead of debit....and using their machine. (Which costs $2.50) She was trying to tell me it didn't.

And who was this lady: well it has been 4 or 5 years since I got a massage from her, and she was last at the short-lived semi legit spa in Sherwood Park. Forgot her name, but she seemed to be the only one there 95% of the time. She was first reviewed at Song Blossom, and my guess is...you will see her most of the time and Soul Spring. She does give a good massage...but...I just wish she could stay on the legit side. I really hate giving this kind of criticism: but if you are of a certain age/or looks, there can't be too many guys that will want to have a regular undraped and/or happy ending experience with you. I was, once again...limp as a noodle, and horribly uncomfortable. I am striking this place permanently off my list.

Yeah...that was her name. If I had remembered her name, I would have asked if she still was using it. She actually, kept her "Bella" name from Song Blossom, at Cranford in Sherwood Park.
