Riverhead Police charged Yanfeng Weng, 40, left, and Fu Nana, 36, both of Flushing, Queens in connection with the operation of an unlicensed massage parlor in Wading River.
Two Flushing, Queens women have been arrested in connection with the operation of an unlicensed massage parlor in Wading River, Riverhead Town Police announced in a press release Monday evening.
Police said Yanfeng Weng, 40, and Fu Nana, 36, were arrested following an investigation into prostitution and an unlicensed massage business at 6302 Route 25A, Suite B3 in Wading River, according to Riverhead Town Police.
Both were charged with unauthorized practice of a profession in violation of New York State Education Law, a class E Felony.
The investigation was initiated in response to community complaints, police said.
The Riverhead Police Department COPE Unit investigated with the assistance from Suffolk County Police criminal intel unit, the Riverhead fire marshal and Riverhead code enforcement officers, according to the press release.
In addition to the above charges numerous other state fire code and Riverhead town code violations were issued.
