In a grueling day of cross-examination, Mississauga Mayor Hazel McCallion offered a series of denials to statements made earlier in a judicial conflict-of-interest inquiry by four key witnesses, about the extent of her involvement in a $14.4 million land deal.
Among other things, McCallion disputed testimony by former city manager David O’Brien hat she had asked him to intervene in a dispute between the OMERS pension fund, of which he was a member of the board, and her son’s company.
