Edmonton pricing

Quite of few comments on this forum about Edmonton pricing. My two cents is as follows. Comparing Edmonton to Toronto is not a fair comparisoon. I lived in Toronto for 17 years from 1996 to 2013 before moving here to take advantage of the Edmonton construction boom in 2013. The massage scenes in the two cities are not the same. From Dundas and Yonge to Eglinton and Yonge you cant wank 2 blocks without bumping into an Aisian MP. The competition for business in Toronto makes the prices cheaper. There are numerous other spots in Toronto that have MP such as in the Finch area. The suburbs of York and East York have higher end MP. The cost of living in Toronto is significantly higher than Edmonton. The MPs have to charge less if they want any business as disposalble income is smaller. The biggest difference in Toronto is that 1 in 10 Torontonians are of Chinese origin. This makes the Chinatown in Toronto a major hub of aisian massage. I would not move back as now fully integrated into the western Canada scene. My two cents is that you can not compare Toronto to Edmonton in massage pricing.

I visited both Vancouver Chinatown and Toronto Chinatowns. I LOVE the variety and eagerness of AMPs there, legit or extras available. I find that Toronto Chinatown still has life in it compared to Vancouver. Definitely makes Edmonton Chinatown really sad...................

Vancouver and Toronto have 2 and 3 times as many people. Edmonton Chinatown does have some decent restaurants if you want authentic Chinese food

"Any places advertising $80 an hour in Calgary better update their pricing cause this is outdated in today's times. Driving along Centre Street from 64 Avenue NW towards downtown, I saw a few more pop up that features things we normally do not see.
"Walk Ins Welcome, Massage Special Price, Massages $49.99, Massages $60, Massages $65, Massages $70" advertised on the board outside. I saw these same places on Kijiji as well.
Definitely recession pricing is affecting some of these places. Some businesses recognize this and adjust accordingly which is good for us. Its up to the masseuse to compete for our hard earned $ with whomever is still left in the workforce with $ to be claimed. If she is smart, she will do what it takes to retain repeat business and make us happy. By making us happy, and the business increase, the happiness will trickle down to the establishment, her and the local economy."

Not yet. We do not have an abundance of Asian operated places for massages. The really legit places that leans towards more on the medical side is plentiful and keeps the prices up. Those are a dime a dozen. The Asian operated ones that could leave a smile on your face when u leave is not so common. So less competition in the area, prices stay up and customers still need a place to go. Top Care, Ads, and Lewis are offering first time specials. We should try out and perhaps experience it.

Do not expect the pricing in Edmonton to follow Toronto. Up until the past year, the manufacturing economy in Ontario was horrific. As a carpenter, I had to move to Etown in 2013 to get work. The consturction industry was booming. As a rough carpenter rather than a finisher, my work revolved around working out doors on large construction projects. Those were happending in Etown and not Ontario. I still have my parents and sister in Pickering so go back 1 time each year. Econcomy in Ontario starting to pick up. When I left in 2013 I was driving a 2009 Chevrolet Express G3500 Van. Moved to Alberta and was immediately able to buy a 2012 GMC Sierra 1500 4WD work truck with the extra spending money I had. In Ontario you have 13% HST. I was living in a 980 square feet condo and came to Alberta and for same price could live in 2020 square feet bilevel. Until you have lived in Toronto you can not make argument that prices in Etown should match TO.

I do not think his comments are distasteful, budget is an important point for him.
Many of these girls are making $3+ a minute how many guys on this board are making $200+ an hour? I would assume not many, so yeah we have to watch our dollars and how we spend them so if we can find better value then we are going to take it.
That is the one point I find splits us punters the guys who look for a deal and the guys who money is not an issue in the pursuit of pleasure.. Neither side should judge the other..

While some of them may be earning $3+ per minute, they don't necessarily get to keep it all. If they are working out of a studio they don't get the entire session fee. As well every hour of their day is generally not booked. In speaking with a number of them over the years, few want back to backs booked as it is very hard work. Just food for thought

Exactly. I know for a fact an $80 hr massage, the girls get $30 ay La Bella. As much as $30 is a decent hrly massage, try doing that straight for 10 hrs and see how long you last at that job. So they like to take that break unless it is a regular that tips decent. Otherwise even a regular that say tips $40 for a hj may get passed along to the next lady who has been sitting. They fake they are already booked.

It may be true that they are not booked every minute or get to keep the full massage fee but I bet you its also true that they are not claiming or paying tax on those cash tips and lets say a girl charges $220 for an hour and $50 of the $80 massage fee goes to the house, that is still $140 tax free. Now lets say they only do 3 or 4 clients a day so 3 - 4 hours that is $420 - $560 a day tax free sorry if I do not feel sorry for them having what some consider a hard job.

There is also the law of supply and demand, and as an old friend of mine would say....." the problem with pussy is that the women have it all". So the simple solution is that if anyone feels the pricing is too high for this commodity, don't purchase it. It is not a life or death requirement, it is a desire. I am surprised that more indie girls dont undercut the MPs as they would make a fortune! There are more girls now that are charging around $200/hr and the AMP have always charged about that amount and with the economy the way it is I wouldn't be surprised if these girls will start stealing a good share of the business. I have found very good independant and MP (yes they will negotiate) service for around $$ so why should I pay some girl $$.6 plus for nothing special? In fact I always start off negotiating as cheap as possible and if the girl still provides good service I start increasing my spend as time goes on, this is how it was with a certain Miss V and it turned into a long term arrangement.

some of it must be the sheer volume of businesses in LA. i mean there are massage places everywhere. i guess we have to be more welcoming. and let the competition do its job until the drop takes place. after experiencing those prices, it's hard for me to just throw my money on half-assed massages.

You are right about what you saying.
One of the way if you guy's stop to go to this provider who charge to much and just support this places who charge less. WE are the one who can push prices down. Just because we accepting this games of masseuse what the playing with us, and looking for all kind of excuses why price is so high and crying around about it,but not doing anything, things will never change.
Look just that guy who pay Molly $260 for nothing...and know I am asking you how will price go down? When other provider see how much Molly charge and guy's are ready to pay for it, good luck to us with lowering the prices.
