High stakes poker game between forum members...

With all the back and forth bickering that goes on here, one of these days we should organize a high stakes poker game. Here's what I think would happen with some of the more active members here (note: no need for anyone to get up in arms about this, just meant for fun):

Dotanuki - even keeled guy, has enough patience to probably break even or win a little bit

TomBlackest - other than Phil Ivey, there's not too many black guys good at poker; sorry dude, odds are against you

Cupcrazy - easy going nature and wanting to be liked will have him lose his shirt

LazyBoy - haven't seen him in a while but one of the guys I respect so I'm rooting for him to eke out a win

PussyJunkie - anyone that anal with grammar should be detailed oriented and a perfectionist; could bode well in poker so I'm saying he'll come out slightly ahead

Hangdai - will be up in the beginning but then he loses concentration (probably thinking about sex, or rather his "ex"), gets impatient and loses all his money

Douche - one bad beat, he goes on tilt and loses everything

Ursus - bit of a tough call but I suspect he'll always think guys are bluffing and eventually will lose all

WUT - mind will be wandering all over the place, not an independent thinker; no question this guy will lose all (sorry!)

Ironheart - grabs somebody's ass and is disqualified

TheKWguy - seems intelligent and rational enough to come out ahead; also, how can anyone with Clooney's face lose (Ocean's 11 anyone?)

Levi - his analytical abilities will have him up at the beginning but he gets too annoyed with a few lost hands; KJ uses that opportunity to play with his head and he loses all

Krayjee - if I'm to believe both sides, he's smart and sneaky enough to win but then his "kind" side would make him feel guilty and he'll lose it all back on purpose

Myself - gambling is in my genes, that coupled with my IQ and EQ makes me a lock to come out ahead

And this makes poker- at least a great deal of the time – a game of withdrawing, not thrusting, attacking game that is may appear to the casual observer. Its long-term essence as an activity has certain parallels to a Zen state, therefore – a pulling back, a stillness, a non-activity. And while it is true that this pulling back always contains within it a nugget of aggression, an explosive core ever waiting to attack, a vast majority of the time it is of a more stationary nature. Until the player can make peace with this state emotionally, he cannot master poker.

I post so seldom I'm surprised you know me. Thanks for the mention. I'm actually a very lazy poker player and usually just keep calling or folding and rely completely on luck. I'd probably be the first to lose my shirt, and I promise you, it's a sight you will never forget! Once seen, cannot be unseen, and everyone will leave the table in disgust, leaving their chips behind. So, I guess I'll win by default.

True, actually quite a bit of these MPAs are addicted to gambling. They like the rush. One even asked me to lend her some of my poker books LOL.

Sorry, no disrespect. Just mentioned the guys off the top of my head. So, you're a texas hold'em player...hmm, probably your asian half. We should play one day.

PS: If I've missed anyone else that is a poker player, feel free to chime in on why you think your personality would lend itself to winning. Or based on the personalities on this forum, who are the members mostly likely to come out ahead?

i'm quite the gambler. any other asians on here take those buses up to niagara falls from pacific mall? i went with my grandmother on a few occasions lol

My dad goes there as he also plays lots of poker but he goes to Brantford more. It's a shame they don't have texas hold'em closer to home like at Woodbine or something.

I only know of one in the Danforth area...one of these days when I stop working, I'll seek these out
