You can make more money by going to one of those police or church gun buy backs and offer more money than the police or church is offering. Then sell the guns at a profit. In Pennsylvania only handguns require a transfer through an FFL because of the background check requirement for handguns. Rifles and shotguns can be legally be transferred privately.

There is a group that does this in Texas, but they give the guns away to people who live in unsafe places but can not afford a gun for self- defense.

If you have a bunch of "stuff" for your "hunting hobby" sell some of it on eBay, CL or a swap meet. Give about 1/2 of it back to the Mrs. She'll have no idea what it is worth, you do though.

It sounds like she can squeeze 11cents out of a dime, so she'll appreciate you selling your "crap" that probably burns her butt more than just a little bit anyway, but she indulges you cuz you bring home the bacon.

Then start shopping around for more "stuff" that you can sell at a profit. As an example, a widow is selling her hubby's gun collection out in the middle of the state somewhere. You travel 2 or 3 hours show up and make a nice offer on the whole lot, and offer to take his hunting stuff, ammo, clothes, knives you name it, off her hands as well. She'll be happy to get rid of it to someone who'll appreciate it and give a good deal to someone that needs the break (I work for the state, my wife is a stay at home mom, you know, the big sad story you just told here, wanh wanh).

My guess is that the Mrs won't care if you work your ass off (time wise) to make $100. So you part with a couple of the items on the way home at a reasonable price and show/give 1/2 to the Mrs along with showing her all the other stuff you now have to sell. The key is keeping her off your back and making a tiny bit of profit to "show & share" and "hiding" (spending) the rest (maybe even on the ride home).

If you're gone in the woods for hours on end, my guess is she is willing to give you a ton of time, and if you now have $$ for her and the kids, as a result, instead of 'spending it on your ridiculous hobby' (If she only knew -- hehe) you'll now be her hero too ! Now you get to hunt even more and maybe with some cool new shit and get some pussy !!

Ever since my wife and I have been married (23 years), we have always had separate accounts and a household account.
Also have separate credit cards. That makes life so much easier. Plus, I work in sales, so I can make an appointment with a provider during the day and no one knows. Still, you gotta be careful.

I'm slightly lucky in this end. My SO has a bad spending habbit and any money put infront of her is up in smoke before you can say "smoke"! So I have a separate account that I use for my money and a joint account that is used for our household expenses. She knows about my personal account but I keep everything from her having my statements mailed to my workplace. Sometimes money from my personal account is... unaccounted for and she never finds out. If she does some sleuthing, and believe me she is well versed in the art, I just say that I NEED to keep details from her... the good part is that she understands that because when emergencies hit I'm the go to guy for those expenses.

I think it's important to bring up addiction. Some folks who see providers or go to massage parlors do it whenever they feel like it and no harm done. However, I do believe there is a good amount of individuals who may be addicted to spending money at such establishments or on providers.

Look at it this way: A heroin addict is broke and he needs his fix. So he (in this case, we'll say he) will do whatever it takes to get some cash and that could mean just doing side jobs, selling his goods, etc. All just so he can spend the money he earns on his addiction.

Now I know the whole "is sex an addiction?" argument is an entirely different debate but it's something to think about as some people will just spend whatever funds they have to get a happy ending from someone...even when they know damn well they're just going to be broke afterwards and do whatever they can to get that money back to afford their "hobby."

Yes it's a slow sometimes very slow process but I do get the money up once in a while and I do have that gold coin I found I don't think it's worth too much maybe just the gold content in it

I was in the same boat for a long time. I have some old posts about saving coffee money. The best bet for non-detectability is slow and irregular. When you have an extra $5, stick it somewhere, use the debit card and take $20 cash back. Just make sure you loose the receipt. Don't keep the money in your house. Keep it at work or find a place in the car where no one will look, even if it means unscrewing an interior panel and sticking it in there. Behind the glove box may be good or even in the trunk under the spare out under the trunk mat. I get reimbursed for all travail, when it is a road trip with no overnight, I get mileage. I end up with a check not direct deposit, so I just cash those. These add up quick and are completely unnoticed. I have been able to accumulate over a grand so even when I dip in, there is still more and I replenish when I can. Bottom line, its hard when someone else controls the funds or even has access to the bank statements. Sounds like your stuck with the slow and steady route, so be patient, don't rush into anything when you have the cash and make damn sure there is nothing to trace back to you including phone call or text to your cell (read up on hobby phone), unusual ezpass charge, ect. Do everything in cash!

I always have squirreled money away for myself weather it was skimming off found money (income tax check, refund from insurance, whatever)and I let the old lady pay the bills. Since I got into the hobby I have taken over the bill paying duties and what a revelation that has been. Rather than cutting off services I scaled back the services that were wasteful ie. I dont need a $200 cable package or a $250 cell bill. I'm like the financial nazi now and its amazing how much more disposable income I have, many times if you revisit the things you spend money on constantly you can find ways to trim the fat and save it for yourself. Some good ideas and yes some of you did miss the main point sneak it past the eagle eye wife I swear she can see a penny drop from a mile away I have tried to do a little bit of the shopping buying store brands and paying with cash not a debit card say it cost $15 when it only cost 10 every dollar counts she gets the bank statements every month so it's not like I can say to the teller yeah give me an extra 20 she will see it as for the phone that is all I have too cheap track phones and as for my man toys I only have a few but the one thing I love more than pussy is hunting so giving up the bow and gun is not an option and yes I made the mistake of hiding all my cash in one spot and it was found by my kids not the wife when she asked me what it was for I said I was saving that money so we could go out on a mini vacation some summer weekend
