I've often wondered how these pimps ingratiate themselves with the various spas in the city. How is it that about a dozen or so "promoters" have aligned themselves with so many spas almost all of which are Asian spas.

Recently I came across a thread for a somewhat new spa or possibly a rebranded spa. The thread appears to be run by the someone at the spa itself. Maybe with the help of a friend. After posting their daily schedule for a short time in a professional manner wouldn't you know it but one of the usual suspects arrives on the scene and begins to add to the daily schedule posting with a follow up post. Nothing of any significance. Mindless BS basically. This goes on for a short time and then suddenly the wannabe pimp stops posting! What happened? Couldn't get the spa to sign on for their pointless BS? And guess what! Soon after another of these pimps arrives on the scene to add their "helpful" contributions to the thread but they too disappear before long! Another failed attempt to live off the avails of sex workers. Basically exploiting immigrant women who don't know better than to tell these losers to piss off! This spa continues to post daily without the assistance of the spa mafia. It can be done.

The original philosopher pimp almost seems quaint compared to the new fangled pimps stalking the spas now (when he is not making racist generalizations about the clientele visiting the spas he promotes).

You think the new batch is worse than Krayjee? I beg to differ with the exception of Pickyreviewerr.
Promoters are essentially the middleman between you and the spa. Are they needed? Are they beneficial? Arguably yes and yes, or no and no.
The board supposedly is for members to review, but that is now twisted to the point that if you do a review, it's probably going to be lost in a day or two down to page 8 because guys like Krayjee have paid shills who bump their threads all day talking about stupid shit to bolster his ego. If their spa was good, people will come and he wouldn't have to find ways to con you.
Imagine being a spa owner paying this clown what he claims is big money, only to see him copy and paste while he spends the day bumping HIS spa and bragging about golf. Fucking useless.

So let's start with some basic definitions. Pimps are exploitative predators who control their stables through violence, leverage, trickery and intimidation. They take the majority of the lady's income leaving them very little if any for themselves. For the predominantly asian massage wellness centers I have knowledge of, there might be only one guy who is exploitative and controlling and threatening, but he does not take the ladies' incomes, he charges them around $400 a month to post daily schedule updates and brief synopses of the girls working that day, occasionally posting a review. He now owns his own shop with the lady boss partner and does most of his primary posting there. There are several spas that post their own schedules and similar brief info or pics of the girls. They usually are paying an individual IT sort of guy to do this for a nominal fee. Many spas use promoters to bump spas thread with banter or brief reviews or suggestions and I was informed that some of these fellows get $100 a month, or free room fees, for keeping the spa on the first page of the thread. The goal is to get as many views and not to sink into the back pages and get subsumed in the volume of content here. Again, for the majority of the asian wellness centers I know of, and I am a semi-legit patron, these places are run by the ladies (some with backing by friends) in the spa who don't have the greatest English language skills in general, and see value in employing promoters. Some of these guys approach the spa, some of them are approached by the spa. Most spas are owned by former MPs who took the initiative and venture risk of starting their businesses. In spa world their is no syndicate in control exploiting the ladies. If you speak to the boss ladies many of them are ambitious hardworking people who are trying to succeed within the limited opportunities they have presented as new immigrants. Like any industry, some of them are better to work for then others, but the girls have the freedom to work at other spas and leave if they don't feel appreciated or are not earning what they hoped. This is not sex trafficking, the ladies may be impelled by economics to work in this industry, but there is a demand and many of them earn quite a bit more than they could working in other industries. Now, for the promoters of whom I personally have knowledge of their circumstances, JimiNY, OGfunguy, DareDevil, pickyreviewer, they are getting paid in the free room to nominal fee range. Some guys like me and a few others, post for spas with reviews or join the banter to help a particular lady we find worthy of notice for our own reasons. I don't get paid, I wrote some haikus and whatnot, and will support a shop that I feel is run well by decent ladies. It's kind of a hobby within a hobby for me. Now the esteemed krayjee is a bit more controlling and exploitative, leveraging girls for expanded services and BB, he has threatened one lady I know with the law a few years back after he got out of prison and was rebuffed when he wanted to return, and I was able to let her know he had no such influence. He poaches other spa's girls, takes unsolicited photos, and flashes nude pics of other ladies going years back to intimidate, all the while presenting himself as a supporter of the girls' freedom from controlling bosses who would prefer he doesn't poach their clients. He himself, and several surrogates, will shitpost about girls or owners who refuse to work with him attempting to show he has the power to effect their bottom lines and reputations. His time for such shenanigans is fading, most are on to his tired act, and he has his eggs in his failing faux semi-legit new spa that offers more holistic level services. Anyhow, I appreciate your annoyance, and find many promoters tiresome, but most of these shops are owner operated, run by female immigrants who see value in some promotion and bumping on their threads. Real predators, or pimps as you term them, are not involved in the asian wellness corner of spa world. Now, many in-call agencies are pimp run, and some like moon waiting disappeared after being charged with human trafficking. There was a surfeit of korean run places with dozens of younger girls in rotation, not immigrants, girls from korea coerced and trafficked. Again, Uncle Dan krayjee can tell you about some of those as he associated with several of them back then. Disclaimer, I had a look way back when at these shops through reviews on other boards, TERB etc., and they are definitely a different kettle of fish with regards to ownership, the ladies income, and exploitation. It takes a bit of experience to filter out the noise and find some good shops where you get a decent massage and an enjoyable time and walk out happy. That's why I am strictly a semi-legit guy, and it was E & M that introduced me to a fulfilling experience where I didn't feel cringe about meeting a need that is part of being human. The boss there still runs a tight shop with great attendants. Here let me promote the places I have felt respected and that my time and money was well spent: Bellagio great boss cast varies from time to time in depth of quality (despite annoying promoter using fake accounts to talk back and forth with himself), Shangri La, great boss and ladies and clean shop despite JIminy and krayjee bumping, Sentosa Bay ultra clean and decent owner using DareDevil as promoter. Going to check out Lavender because a non-promoter guy gave me some good intel elsewhere, and the owner is an old pro with a good cast of ladies. If you post fairly about your experiences it is surprising the number of DMs from regular avid hobbyists that will arrive with decent suggestions.

Not all Full Service places are the same that is for sure. The general principle in regards to service I have seen is that the younger the girl, the less enjoyable the service especially with non Chinese or Chinese that are westernized. But as always, exceptions to the established norm exist. Contrary to advertising these women aren't doing this for fun, it's for money PERIOD. However most are service oriented and believe in the fair trade of compensation for appropriate service rendered which does include the fantasy component. The Chinese are adept at this.

I have done my fair share of "advertising" or writing a review or two for girls I know. This is always for free as I provide other services for the girls so it's just good business relations to do so. There are some out there that range from mildly amusing (or annoying) to down right evil. My estimate is that the ladies do better income wise than a two thirds majority of their customers. Count the number of spas, supply meet demand, free enterprise wondrously provides an entire industry. Are some guys promoting here creeps, yes sir. Are a few exploitative, probably. But again, the vast majority of the promoters here are paid nothing or peanuts compared to what the spas bring in monthly. Less than the pennies on the eyes on the ferryman's skiff crossing the river styx for the final journey to oblivion. As for them being ugly disgusting people, that could well be. The only one I have seen in the flesh, and leprous flesh it was, was uglier on the inside than his already horrid visage. Talking about you Uncle Dan @krayjee. But in general, I would hazard to guess that they are representative of the hobbyists that they purport to inform. Hobby wisely, and don't see the world in extremes, nuance is a perception that will help you deal with the world this side of Hades.
