This was my first time crossing to the dark side, at the very end of last year. I've been a lurker here for awhile but still not up to speed with the lingo, etc. So bear that in mind. Also, I plan to be a strictly semi-legit guy for reasons of my own with no judgement implied on anyone else.

I'd walked by this place before, saw the sidewalk sign and thought it looked pretty legit. Searched around on the internet and found a few hints here and there that it might be a semi. So, one day, I did go up the stairs and was met by Jan, a late 30s or 40s Asian lady. She looked attractive and shapely to me, with a positive personality. Spoke English well. Had me take off my boots and ushered me into a room. Clean, well setup, piped relaxation music, no shower (had one at home so this was no big deal). I should reiterate that the place seemed very legit in every way; there was even a female customer at the desk when I came in paying for whatever service she had received. For a nervous first timer, this was welcome--an air of normalcy if that makes sense.

I was left to undress and get ready. Underwear, on or off? Kept them on until Jan came in--off, ok, guess that means it is a semi after all, for guys anyway. Lay down, great massage, really hard, deep pressure point style. The lady has powerful thumbs. Painful as hell but also pleasurable. Worked up and down my back and onto my leg and butt muscles. Not a lot of what you might call teasing. I'd opted for 45 minutes and, though I didn't have a watch, am pretty sure I got the full time. At one point, she took a phone call, answering questions from a customer, but never stopped digging deep with a thumb.

On the flip, she started right away on the junk. I'm no expert but it felt pretty good and she seemed to know what she's doing. Didn't take long. She's not RMT but she may have started out as a legit masseuse. Told me that she had been losing customers once upon a time and had learned how to give an hj to hang on to them (my bad joke). She stayed fully clothed but allowed some limited hand roaming. I realize this may not be for everyone but I certainly enjoyed myself. Will definitely go back at some point though I'd like to explore some of the many other semi options out there.

I'm still trying to comprehend the intricacies of tipping ie. the line between stingy and ridiculous. The room/massage cost $55 and I tipped an additional $30. She took that with an "ok fine" which hinted that more would have been nicer but I didnt get any sense of greed. I like to tip well but fairly and just thought: well, good massage, five minutes of extras, clothes on.... What do the experts have to say?

Anyway, it's two months after the fact but I came across at least one recent query about this place and thought I'd make my first substantive contribution to this forum.

JJ elite has been there for a while, not the most popular place on this board but overall still a popular place just by being one of the few spots for a massage in that area. They attract more of the transient crowd than long standing regulars.

Tipping is always a topic of conversation but I usually think its pretty simple. $40 should be the minimum for a massage between 45-60 minutes if you get an HE ($20 tip if its just a legit massage). Anything else added on top of the service, you just add in increments of $20 with full service being $100. I usually stick with this if its a place I frequent a lot because girls always talk about their clients and you don't want to be known as the cheap dude among them.

$30 not crazy cheap… gd msg & HE w touching, altho ltd touchng, its likely $40… boobs etc come out, thats $60, nr/bs/cbj = $80… so $30’s on the low side, but since she kinda only allowed ltd roamng… its ok.

Thanks for writing this, and for the follow-up comments. I think I'll go wander in there this evening and try to re-join the dark side... My first (and last) HE experience was in Puerto Vallarta 6 years ago. I had a legit Thai massage in Japan recently which almost felt like it was heading in another direction (emphasis on "erection", lol...) but I think Thai massage is just.. intrusive by nature.

I see some very mixed google reviews about this place , such as the owner / front desk being rude , people being bruised from treatment or having to pay $$$ to recover after a session somewhere else .. sure some of these could be fake news but still ..
I was gonna TOFTT , +a semi - legit spot downtown is a rarity ..
Sometimes a massage + hj is all i really want ..

Attendants consistently have pretty good HJ technique. Never had a jackhammer situation there. My current favourite is Anne. Not a high mileage place, but good massage and nice HE. Occasionally tits come out, but that’s hit and miss. Funny thing about this place is that there seems to be the occasional female customer. It a reliable go-to.
