FRANKLIN, Tenn. -The owner of a Green Hills massage parlor raided last month for prostitution was arrested Thursday morning at his Franklin home.
Peng He, owner of Golden Massage on Abbott Martin Road, faces charges of money laundering, trafficking for commercial sex and prostitution.
He was arrested after Metro police officers executed a search warrant at his Valor Court home.
Golden Massage and three other Davidson County massage parlors, Daily Massage on North Gallatin Pike in Madison, ABC Massage on Franklin Pike in Berry Hill, and Acupressure Treatment Center on 4th Ave South near downtown , were raided February 10 amid allegations employees were being trafficked and sex acts were being performed for money.
A total of 10 people were arrested.* He was not among them.
Since the raids, Metro police have seized $300,000 from various banking institutions. An additional $25,000 in cash was found Thursday at He's home.
Also in the home were three of the women arrested at Golden Massage last month.* Metro police spokesperson Don Aaron said the women were found sleeping on mattresses in the basement.
He said the women are from China and officers have been told they have visas and are in the country legally though it's not sure when they arrived in the United States or under what pretenses.
Aaron said the prostitution charges against the women are still pending though the investigation is ongoing.* They do not face any additional charges in connection to Thursday's raid.
Golden Massage has been closed since the February 10 raid.
