Investigators with York Regional Police have charged a massage therapist for allegedly sexually assaulting a woman on two separate occasions in a Vaughan spa.
On Feb. 11, police received a report from a woman alleging she was sexually assaulted at Sanctuary Day Spas, located in the area of Rutherford and Creditstone roads.
The victim told police she was sexually assaulted during massage therapy sessions in September and December of last year.
Grigori Tabak, 62, of Vaughan, is charged with two counts of sexual assault.
He is scheduled to appear in court on March 18 in Newmarket.
A call to the spa confirmed that Tabak no longer works there.
"There is no statute of limitations for sexual offences and offenders can be prosecuted well after the date of the offence," police said.
