Question Others in Your Life Circle

Curious, in your own situations, do others in your life network, work, play, personal etc know about your interest in the world of massage, semi-legit massage and pleasure seeking?

This is something that has intrigued me for many years. Most colleagues at work (men or women) seem to go about their daily lives oblivious to these interests. Or are they just like us and we are unaware? It’s obviously not a subject that is often discussed by the watercooler or the keurig machine. But given the sheer numbers of massage shops everywhere, some people other than us are visiting (reminds me of the phenomena of multiple donut shops on every street corner in Ontario towns, two decades ago). Some folks were clearly eating donuts.

I’ve always wondered, and part of the fun with these pursuits is that unknown element. I don’t know if anyone else I know does this—I really doubt it. However, I’ve joined things like Tinder in the hopes of finding a colleague or acquaintance and having a little fun with that. Alas, nothing. That’s another angle for sure. Initially I was just wondering if most of us are just lone wolves in social clusters who enjoy these pursuits or if there are others in our immediate networks who might also participate but we just don’t know about it. And do they even suspect that we have such interests?

As for ladies in the massage and related businesses, over many years I think I have seen around 5 ads on Tinder that relate to them (Edmonton and Calgary combined). These were relationships seeking ads. It’s possible that a couple use them to indirectly find new clients, as a byproduct.

I feel it's gotta exist. My radar is sometimes on when talking to people. One guy that I know disappears from work in the middle of the day with real lame excuses. Like gotta help a friend or meeting the always mysterious "someone". ...he's either cheating or does this.

One of my coworkers is also involved in this hobby. We share information occasionally.
The most surprising thing came from one of the providers I often see. She suggested me to see another provider from another spa.

This is interesting. Years ago when I was mid to late 20's, there wasn't a lot of massage parlours compared to now. Most of the action was thru escorts/strippers and most of the guys that hung out together in our cirlce of friends did it once in awhile. We all knew.
The guys had to be careful about advertising it since most of us were going steady or newly married and we all know loose ships sink ships and one of them could be your own.
As time went on and we had families, there were less and less guys nights. I know if we were all to get together on a guys night now without significant others the stories and laughs would go till the wee hours.
My take on the MP's now is that there is one on every 4th corner. I don't know if these places are as busy as some of us think. Oh they do have the rush times, but that comes with sitting for hours or days. Sure some popular ladies are overly busy but others probably try another line of work after time.
So are the fellows frequenting MP's older or travelling/ out of town for work? Married? Single? Are there many young guys partaking? Good questions. I wonder if it is a small percentage of guys just visiting as many ladies as possible or a larger swath of guys that go once in-a-while keeping the lights on so to speak.
Besides a few forums, no-one talks about it openly. Have to think most of the MP's have some sort of business to survive. Can't all be money laundering fronts. As they say loose lips sink ships! Interesting topic for sure

My select close friends know I go for happy morning visits to relieve my knots and stress. Its funny sometimes they ask how I know where the good places are. Clearly they are interested as well and most likely indulge every once in a while.

Years ago, when I used to be on the road 30+ weeks a year, all of my fellow travellers at my old workplace do it and we share information through hints and jokes at the bar table. My first Edmonton boss was the biggest horndog of them all, he had an incredibly open relation with his hot wife; would openly brag about the escorts he banged the night before. I got so used to hotel life that I made friends with travellers from other companies as well. The hotel lobby bar was both the hunting ground and the centre for information exchange. Those who had that lifestyle would know what I mean.

Nowadays, I am the boss and I keep this element of my life completely private from my employees. It is true that I am the sole owner of the business and answer to no one, it is just easier if rumours and innuendos don't start at the workplace.

I also used to play on the poker circuit and I would travel as far as Asia to play some bigger tournaments. In fact, that was my usual reason to travel to Asia. People in that circuit, especially the Asians would openly partake in this hobby; going as far as grouping up and heading to a brothel together. I have definitely learned a few things from my foreign poker buddies; there was that one night at a HoChiMinh City soapy massage joint... Being busy with the business has pretty much shut down that element of my life.

I think because I was single and unattached, it does make it easier on me than some of you. My family are all out east with little or zero chance of running into them at a MP. I do have to be a little more careful in Toronto as I have relatives there. As for friends and employees, I don't think anyone should care about my hobbies; I just don't like workplace innuendos.

Here is a story for you, I arrive for my late appointment of the evening and the lady quickly locked the front door behind me; not an uncommon practice at many places. This night,the previous client was still in the shower so we started chatting and waiting. Waited we did, he really took his time showering to the point that the lady was annoyed. I asked why couldn't she just leave the door unlocked and he could let himself out. She responded that he lived nearby and was afraid that a neighbour or his wife would seen him walk in. This client only used the spa's back door (not to be confused with her back door) and she had to keep that door locked at all time because of the homeless scavengers who roam those alleys. I LOL'd when she said that he would never text because he was afraid that his wife would find the texts, he would sometimes call but most of the time he would simply walk to the back door and knock until someone answers it. I was told though that men who refuses to use front doors are way more common than I thought; that's why the ladies actually park out front to save the back spots for the customers. I would likely quit the hobby if I have a wife who forces me to do things in secret; I am very fortunate that way.

My particular role allows a little bit more freedom. So I can be in the area right at the start of lunch or the very start of the MT work day with the only missing moments being a few minutes of getting dressed and walking to the vehicle before I can log on and answer any messages.

Outside of my GF/spouse/whatever-we-call-her-now, not a soul knows I pay for sexual services. As for our other escapades, only a very few close friends know. We still live in a very uptight and ridiculously stupid society.

I am retired now but have only ever shared my visits to providers with my wife - now deceased - and my submissive bbw girl who basically does whatever I want . Even so I still follow through on the urge to visit a few of my favourite providers now and again .

I miss the days when a good online friend organized monthly gatherings at a local dive bar, just a few guys vetted by the organizer who wrote a ton of reviews. On a quiet weeknight, we would have the whole bar to ourselves free to talk openly about sex, drugs and rocknroll. After you have met the person and understand his likes and dislikes, you learn to appreciate their reviews a lot more. Such exchanges were also required because ideas around SWs and CL personals girls were generally frowned upon on public boards.
