A Luzerne County woman is accused of running a prostitution business through a Midvalley massage parlor.

The arrest of Juanita R. Frey, 64, 66 Noyes Ave., Swoyersville, followed a nearly two-year-long investigation by Lackawanna County detectives, along with the state police Organized Crime Task Force.

According to the arrest affidavit, Frey is the owner of Total Indulgence III, a massage parlor at 170 Scranton-Carbondale Highway in Archbald.

Investigators allege the massage parlor was a front for prostitution business in which female employees performed sex acts on clients. One woman who worked there told investigators the employees were instructed by Frey to perform the acts and she would get angry when they didn’t, the affidavit said.

Frey was charged earlier this month with a felony count of promoting prostitution and misdemeanor count of public nuisances. She faces a preliminary hearing Monday.
