Thanks Guys for contributing, even I learnt some new risks here serioulsy. Let me add one I just remembered. ATM Machine scams, 25% I would say, that is if you use an ATM in the zona vicinity at night alone. Its much less probability during daytime and regular ATMs. I personally had a risky situation twice, once with a mesero accompanying me from the bar and still getting harassed by Cops. More common is some guys loitering around and waiting for a "hit" or a ripoff scam. so just be ware

ok guys- based on my last trip this past weekend (which was great) I thought I would add a couple of new ones.

On Revolution Strip bar- bitch took my back-up wallet from side pocket of cargo pants- removed $$$ and put back in side pocket. I think the bitch left a few $ for me. I caught another ho with her hands on my wallet- making a play... Oh it does happen !!! This is a monitary loss- the true danger is a confrontation with girls, staff, or freelance hawker cum bouncer. If I get the gypsy treatment...I dont go quietly- I complain to the staff and thats about it! I dont try to beat them at their game. I expect the joke to be on me once in a while. I was once in a window in Amsterdam with a soft black chick and she said " sir you dropped you wallet in the corner" I was like DAM "THATS CLASS" ! It doesnt matter what race or nationality you are- you either have class or you dont. Getting pickpocketed in TJ was not a good experience for me- mad as HELL but overall small loss- big lesson. Please no stupid questions about where, when, who, why, and no I did not file a police report (if Judge Judy is reading)

1st. The police, 10%

I was standing talking to the SG's on the back street. Someone had left a beer on a ledge and the police tried to claim it was mine. a pair .. one immediately asking how much money I had, the other was cool. The cool one frisked me for drugs, when I didn't have any, he told me to beat it, so there are some who are not all bad. had he not been there the other would have definitely took all my money.

2nd. Pick pockets 10%
I have been pick pocketed once on the street, Its been years but it happened .. A SG playing with my balls and at the same time picked me clean in one pocket. Fortunately I split my money between pockets so I still had some left to continue the night.

Also while receiving a standing BBBJ i caught a girl's hand going into my pocket ... fortunately I was ready to explode .. busted on her face ... as she wiped the gis off her face I left ...

Now I always tuck my pants under my pillow behind my head, since I like them on top, so they can't get to the pockets. Then I face them away from the pillow for doggie.

The rest .. to small to worry about. just my experience

I like this topic Bohemian because I think we should focus on possible real threats instead of things like kidnapping cash strapped mongers, where you have more of a possibility of winning the lottery or getting hit by lightning than getting kidnapped.

The number one threat is getting stopped by a TJ cop and getting searched, and let go with nothing happened except you rather have it not happen, and you get a little pissed maybe 5% chance out of 100? Getting shaken down, or have money outright stolen from you by a TJ 2% chance. ( keep in mind on other sites many people view Mayor Ramos as a savior, believing he has the ability to keep the TJ cops in line, so they feel the perceneforum.xxxes will go down drastically?)

The number two, or really should be number one, is getting a bad 'experience' from a sex worker, after you paid good money to fuck her, she'll act like a dead fish, and you'll feel your being cheated, or she'll up sell you to death. Most likely this will come from SGs, but SGs don't have the market cornered on bad sex, there are plenty bad BGs too that will make promises in the bar, and then renege on the promise for things like DFK, or BBBJ. Chicas actually stealing from your pockets while your in a shower, is very low in Tijuana for some reason? I have never had a chica steal money from me in Tijuana, but in the states they use to often try it, and sometimes get away with it. However, I know a few guys that got money stolen from them by a Tijuana sex worker, I put the risk at maybe 2% or 3% percent.

If you do trannies or visit bars such as Bambi's the risk goes up to 20% percent. If your a new tourist and visit Bambi's for the first time, and don't know what's in there, than your really risk getting money stolen from you and the risk goes up to 75%!

Waiters(meseros) doing the old, 'senor your only gave me a $1 dollar bill" when you really gave him a $20 dollars scam, about 20% on revolution, and maybe about about 2% to 3% in the zona, as it's not a problem in the zona.

Waiters or hookers, spiking your drink with the date rape drug, is almost non existent, it's just paranoid talk by ex-members here. They also insist the waiter always open your beer in front of them, thinking everybody is out to drug you. As far as I know the waiters always open your beer in front of you, besides you can't do anything about mix drinks. I just think these paranoid dudes lose focus. What really is going to get you in trouble, is drinking to the point that you get off-the-ass drunk, and then falling asleep in the bar. There is this well known talks about friends from another site, they all went out drinking. and one guy passed out drunk, and some of the friends, and one guy in particle, left the guy there passed out in the bar where anybody could steal his wallet, most likely coming from another customers seizing on the opportunity.

The number one way of losing the most money is falling in love with a bar girl, and falling for her story, about her sick mother or kid needs an operation, but $5000 dollars from you will save him or her.( girls don't need to steal from your pants, when guys are more then willing to freely give the chica money, and even fell good they are giving it to her.

Here are the perceneforum.xxxes: getting yourself drunk and falling asleep in the bar, or being out of it so anybody robs you about 10 percent. Going to TJ too much and falling in love with a bar girl who scams you, about 7 percent. Getting your drink spiked, so when you go upstairs with the girl, where her and the waiter team up to rob you, maybe 0001%.

Alright I just did some Risk Management for a Project, what BS, anyway. Most of the the time we accept risks in life or are oblivious of it. Lets list the risks while mongering in Zona also list the probablility of it happening

1. Getting hassled by a cop, Probability 10%
2. Pickpocketed by anyone , P = 1% ?
3. Getting ficha fucked by a chica, P = 50% ?
4. Getting Kidnapped !!! P = .001 % ?
5. Taken for a ride by a Rip off Chica P = 33% ?

Please add/comment to the above. Thanks. Idea is to come up with a final list if most of us are interested. We would then rank it in the order of impact to self
