FRESNO, CA — Two people were arrested in the city of Fresno this week on allegations of committing multiple armed robberies, including a robbery and kidnapping in San Jose in January.
The San Jose Police Department participated in the operation, which centered around an investigation into an armed robbery at a massage business in the 2000 block of Story Road on Jan. 20.
In that incident, a man entered the business and paid for a massage, before another man entered and allegedly demanded money from two employees at gunpoint. The first man then allegedly forced the employees into a room and held them against their will, according to a press release from the San Jose Police Department.
The two allegedly took cash and other items before fleeing in a vehicle driven by a third suspect.
Two of the suspects were identified as Damauriae Greene and Shyanne Real, both 20 years old.
Greene was accused by police of committing multiple similar robberies in other cities, including one in the city of Milpitas.
Search warrants were served at their Fresno residences in an operation involving the San Jose Police Department's Covert Response Unit.
Evidence from the robbery was allegedly found in at least one of the residences, along with a replica firearm, according to the police department's press release.
Greene and Real were arrested and booked at Santa Clara County Main Jail.
