TAYLORVILLE, Ill. (WCIA) — A Taylorville massage parlor is in the process of being shut down after police said they arrested a woman for solicitation of a sex act.
The Taylorville Police Department posted on Facebook that officers took multiple complaints from people who reported “suspicious activity” at the parlor in a mini-mall on North Webster Street. Launching an investigation, police eventually made an arrest and said the parlor is being shut down as a result. The investigation is ongoing.

Police officials also praised the partnership between the public and themselves in leading to this result.
“This is a prime example of how our community and law enforcement can work together to keep Taylorville safe,” officials said. “Even though we are a small city, we face big-city challenges — but rest assured, TPD and your local officials will not tolerate this type of activity. We appreciate the vigilance of our residents and encourage you to continue reporting any concerns. Your voice matters, and we will always follow up.”
