NikkiVip’s post reminds me why I feel comfortable making the odd contribution to this forum but very rarely to ‘the other’ one! I like the way AB is moderated but it still allows a fair degree of latitude before they step in and assert their editorial rights occasionally. And even when they do, everyone knows what’s happened and why - unlike elsewhere where editorial decisions are made without warning and any protests or queries are met with dempening silence! Posters on that forum also seem to enjoy hurling abuse at each other – which some obviously revel in – and quite a few seem unable to understand that the opinions of everyone is what makes a forum interesting without the need to try and demean them when there is disagreement. Here you can agree/disagree with someone without being made to feel an idiot. And dare I say it, the language used here is not just less conReviewontational, I also don’t feel I’m going to be subjected to the language of a bunch of drunken foul mouthed ferrals. AB also gets lots more contributions Reviewom WL’s which obviously makes it far more popular amongst them – I wonder why! Maybe they would like to tell us. I guess the regular posters on the AE forum don’t like AB because they think this site is too timid and enjoy seeing the fur fly. But I don’t think it’s too hard to express what might be a contentious opinion without trying to degrade others and I include the WL’s in that too. Diversity of opinion is always interesting but some of the stuff that gets posted there is beyond the pale and so I’ve no doubt these 2 forums will continue to co-exist but all I can say is thank god for AB. I may not be an active mp.net any more but I do like the way it’s become almost self regulating because everyone knows it applies common decency when it’s required. The outcome is that it’s the AB forum that’s the nice place to be. And it must be a successful formula judging by the number of girls who advertise and post here. What do others think?
