Undercover detectives conducted a prostitution sting in Bonita Springs on Thursday in response to several ads on the internet site Backpage.com offering body rubs and massages by “sweet single moms," according to a news release from the Lee County Sheriff's Office.
The Sheriff's Office linked the ads with a telephone number associated with a business called “The Concierge Couple," whose website offered various services ranging from home cleaning to “four handed massages,†street terminology for a two-girl session, according to a release.
The Backpage.com ads were listed as a must read for “Hobbyists,†another street term used to describe men who frequently hook-up with prostitutes found online, the released stated.
When deputies phoned the number, a man who identified himself as “Tim†answered and allegedly offered to set-up a $250.00 two girl session that afternoon. “Tim†advised the undercover detective he would be very pleased with the “finish†and the two girls would be available.
“Tim†even sent a photo of one of the girls partially nude and a video of the other naked in a swimming pool, the report stated.
An undercover detective went to the address and was reportedly greeted at the door by a woman later identified as Laura Gordon, 35. Another woman, later identified as Kayla Ellen Lowndes, 22, was sitting in the lanai area.
Gordon reportedly asked the detective to go to the bathroom to freshen up, then undress and lay down on the massage table, after which time Gordon and Lowndes entered the room topless and only wearing panties. The detective had a conversation about sex acts that would be performed. Both Gordon and Lowndes placed body lotion on the detective and began giving him a massage, at which time probable cause was determined for the arrest of both women, the report stated.
A ledger listing names, dollar amounts and appointments was found by detectives and placed into evidence.
Hats off to the detective: It's a thnakless job, but somebody has to do it.
