A video uploaded on the Instagram account @pennythegingercat shows a ginger cat named Penny experiencing what might be the most relaxing moment of her life. As her owner demonstrates how to properly massage a cat, Penny appears to melt completely under his touch. Her eyes slowly close, her mouth falls open, and her tongue even sticks out slightly — she looks like she’s in a trance.

In the clip, Penny’s owner gives step-by-step instructions on the perfect feline massage. “Take your thumb and firmly apply it against the bridge of your cat’s nose,” he explains while gently stroking Penny’s face. He then adds, “And I’m telling you, it’s like they’re feeling something that they’ve never felt before.” As Penny remains completely still, basking in the moment, it’s clear she’s enjoying every second.

The owner continues, saying it’s important not to stop too soon. “You don’t wanna stop too early… until you finally see them take a biiig—” right on cue, Penny lets out a dramatic yawn — “and that’s when you know you’re done.” As if following the script perfectly, Penny immediately opens her eyes and snaps back to reality, suddenly alert again.
