Ok I'm really disturbed by what I witnessed today and I must speak out!

Early this afternoon I dropped by a MP. I walked in and saw a couple of the girls sitting and playing with a baby. In the front lobby. They were working and playing with this baby!

Now I dont know about you, but I find this INCREDIBLY disturbing.
Lets not kid ourselves. We all know what goes on behind the doors of each room (enough said) and for a MPA to bring her baby to the MP is JUST WRONG. Maybe she didnt have a babysitter, maybe she had a reason, but if in this situation. DONT bring your kids in. STAY HOME WITH THEM!!
The last thing I want to see when I walk in to get my MASSAGE is a baby crying in the MP! I mean this is not the environment.

It makes you wonder about the parenting that this child might have. Im sorry and I dont mean to sound HARSH, but like I said, I MUST SPEAK OUT! :|

A MP is not a place for children. ITS JUST WRONG! I saw what I saw and quickly walked out. I wasnt even in the mood for my weekly FUN. I was disturbed all the way home and felt sick to my stomach for what this poor kid has in store for its life ahead.

I also give thumbs down to the owners! How do you allow children in your MP? Unless it was the owners baby? I dont know... who's ever baby it was! KEEP YOUR BABIES AT HOME, it's bad for business!

I have said my piece, please tell me how you guys feel, have you seen this before? Is this normal? Am I crazy???

Can someone pls clarify the term "wrong".

"Wrong" is a subjective word. Thus, when you use it, you should
clarify what you mean.

Ok, the facts are:
-a baby was brought into a massage parlor
-the baby was disturbing to some clients (due to noise)

However, you guys have not clarified why it is ethically "wrong".


I can understand if the child was 6 years-old, and had some conscience,
but we're talking about a baby who had no idea where he was.


Would it be fair for me to say, "A baby should be with his mother,"
without listing the results of neglect, or without giving any supporting
evidence?

If anyone must ask what is wrong about bringing any child or baby to a MP, then they should look in the mirror. There are some things that are universally wrong. This is one of them.

Although one might argue (without merit) that it doesn't matter because a baby is too young to understand the environment, clearly the parent/MPA is deeply negligent by failing to understand that such activity could well result in intervention by the Childrens' Aid Society.

(and I had just vowed yesterday--for the umpteenth time--to try and quit all of this stupidity...this is just another reason...wish me luck)

age of 1.

your reasoning. Would you mind clarifying the word, "wrong"?


Your statement is similar to saying, "Santa Claus is good".
Most ppl assume he is "good", but hardly anyone mentions his
bad points.


"Bad" points"
-he promotes unhealthy eating habits
-he only gives presents to rich children who live in houses with chimneys
(what about the homeless kids or the kids who live in condos?)
-he promotes slavery (elves)
-he promotes spousal verbal abuse

if they were smoking around her that would be an issue, that is real. Simply being in a reception area is no issue.
You mentioned germs.! It has more of a chance of picking up something at Toys R Us! If the LE came in and took her away from her mother, that would be the fault of them not her. If it is a business issue, then we're talking about something credible. "Universally wrong" what does that mean?

A mp that I frequent often has a sign posted on its front door where everyone can see it before entering. The sign says, "Do not enter unless 18 years of age or older." Therefore, a baby(less than 18 yrs) should not be in that establishment during regular business hours. The mp business is technically an adult establishment in my eyes, children of any age should not be there period. It also ruins the mood! Yuk!

I agree 100% that children should not be in MPs due to "ruining
the mood"; that point has already been established. However,
nobody has touched on the arguement of why it is "wrong" to
bring a baby in an MP (see my posts above ^__^ )

Not try to argue on the point if the baby should be there or not, but it might be some one just visiting to show off "his" or "her" baby, it happen in most work place as well.
I have seen cutomer bring his new born to show and I know that MP owner wasn't too happy about it.

I have been fighting with myself all day long as to name the MP...but after reading some of your replies....

It was a MP in Brampton called SENSATIONS @ Kennedy Rd and Steeles Ave. Im disappointed because this (UNTIL TODAY) was a MP I frequented... I think that was my last visit there. Im still very disturbed by what I saw. Describing in detail the prices of the Massages and holding a baby...what a TERRIBLE sight.

Not only should the MPA be frowned upon but also the owners (if not the same person). I said it before and I will say it again. It was just wrong to see this baby in this environment.

I was seriously mentally abused by that sight, I have a soft spot for babies and children and it breaks my heart to see this poor innocent child in such an environment

Shame on you SENSATIONS & Owners/Management.... My visits there are over...

If you're arguing the point that it is an inconvenience to have babies
in massage parlors because they disturb the clients - I agree
It is unprofessional for workers to bring babies to any service related
business (except a daycare ofcourse )
