It is par for the course in some places but definitely not all. Best is to just go expecting nothing, feel it out, and not be pushy about it. In the worst case scenario you are still getting a decent massage for a good price.

BTW I assume you meant you were walking east from Spadina? There are not many massage places west of there, unless there is something I missed ....

Went to a place called Bamboo at 8pm tonight. Got a very good massage from a cute asian girl (young, nice body, thin, good looking face - definitely early 20s). However, no extras, and no release was offered.

They have opened a second place on Queen West between Spadina and Bathurst that is OK. Better than I remember Dajiaoba being (supposedly the same girls so maybe it both places have improved with time).

The second time, it's much easier to find. It's upstairs over one of my favorite dumpling shops. 326 Spadina, I think. They need to advertise.

There has to be a connection. One of my favorites from Sansan invited me up there one evening. When I got there, there was another Sansan mamasan inside, as well as at least one mpa I'd seen at Sansan. So, many of the same faces at both places.

I'm curious about the Mei Li place across the hall. Some of those girls look too hot to be haircutters.

After a few visits I was surprised that a few of the gals there get a lot more enthusiastic and everyone lived happily ever after.......get it? there was a happy ending. I've been to Bamboo a few times and so far got nothing but a good massage (however, never ever asked for extras). There's a place on Huron that will provide releases but my last massage there by the chubby asian girl was lame. Lucy the girl that I use to visit there left.
