I've given up hope in Ontario but not humanity. I've been planning to move to Florida for the past 2 years and now, it's never been more clear that I have to leave this cesspool of a province. I cannot go on a few more Christmases and birthdays being told who I can see, how many I can see, where I can go and how to live my life in general. Florida will have a rise in cases, maybe add restrictions later on but they'll always find a way to balance health and economy. Arizona is also another option.

I suggest you leave this shithole too. If anyone condemns you for it, tell them to fuck off and enjoy their new normal which consists of perpetual lockdowns and government overreach.

A more accurate comparison would be population density per square mile in major and minor population centers in both, if that were possible. For example is the population density of greater Miami significantly higher than the Toronto GTA, if at all?

Fair point since much of land up north is scarcely populated. So I looked it up. Top 5 population densities in Florida by county
Pinellas 1,521/sq. mile
Broward 1,372/sq. mile
Seminole 1,251/sq. mile
Orange 1,196/sq. mile
Miami-Dade 1,070/sq. mile

Miami-Dade is the most populous county with 2.7 million residents. Broward is 2nd with 1.8 million.

The population density of the Greater Toronto Metropolitan Area is 327/sq. mile. So about 1/3 of the population density of Miami-Dade county and about 1/4 of the population density of Broward county.
