Semi Odd Question

I had a furniture business for 1 year and a small retail general home decor business combine 200-500k. I had to split that with another ex partner who was horrible to work with. Minus tax and lots of business expenses and yes if you live here in the U.S you can definately feel the economic impact in every american families. My child is 13 years now and I have been paying child support, the 9,000 is the latest owe for 4 months due to financial problem with my business. Here in the state, you pay child support base on your EARNING. Another words if you make less you pay less and if you make MORE you PAY MORE. I'm 4 months behind and it jumped to 9,000. Since I no longer in business, I'm working on adjusting child support payment in court. Yes I need to get all of my priorities straight for another 5 years ( thank god ) and finally FREE of debts. I wonder if anyone of you here have child support as well? Only then you can relate....

I still cant tell if you mean turnover (irelevant really) or profit.. If its turnover it shouldnt effect your 'earnings'.. if its profit then taking home nearly 1/2 a mil a year you should have saved some..

Saying you earnt 200 - 500k when in fact that needed to be divided with partners deduct tax, business expenses etc is pretty odd way to say it.. I had one biz back in Europe that turned over 20 mil or so per annum.. Didnt mean I earnt 20 mil a year though does it ??

First off I want thank you all for your inputs. I'm obviously talking to GOOD sincere people in here with great advices.

I have spend lots of money with lawyers and went to court numberous time. Even if I win the full custody rights it won't be over for a longshot with this WOMEN. I swear to god I'm not making this up, she is evil and CRAZY. My child is close to his mother ( whether she's wrong or not ) and to take him away from her would only make him resent me. I don't even see peace with her is she gets him on visitation rights. This women will boiled your blood each and everytime you meet her for any occasions. She has no respect for our child, using profanity in front of a child is very wrong and showing outrageous unneccessary domestic violence in public is very unlawful. It just so hard to deal with such person even if you came with a surrender white flag LOL. A person can only take so much abuse before snapping someone's neck and I have controlled my anger for over 10 years. But the only answer to this is paying off my debt and getting to court in a hurry to adjust my child support payment. I think its time to log into my OANDA forex currency account to trades and pay off that debt soon before interest rate kick in LOL. Yes $ 9,000 seems a lot if you're getting paycheck, but if you're a entrepreneur and know about investments that should be an easy task to overcome. They say that a millionare always know to became a millionaire again if he fails the first time... I hope faith will set in for me

no thats not all profit, State board hit me with monthly sales tax due rather then quarterly which make it hard to used any funds to turn around. They claimed if your new business showing strong growth then sales tax will applied monthy rather then quarterly until sales drop. It's another way for state board excuse for them to collect anything they can for their purposes. Anyone living in California know that it is a very ANTI business state. They rather have illegal mexicans and citizens as a labor working force then self- employed. It's not cheap to advertise and pay monthly warehouse lease here, my warehouse is 6,000 sq feet showroom in Orange County it cost 4,000 a month not including insurance, employees, workers comp just to know a few. For new businesses it's pretty hard to operate with economy so heavy. Trade imbalance, all time high deficit, gas prices soaring, economic issues is no joke here in the U.S. Believe it or not, we are in recession and not in " soft patch". Anyhow enough about business and politics, simply I'm focusing on my personal priorities and dealing with everyday problems as well as I can. The bottom line is solving my debt and moving on to a happier stress-free life and hopefully it would be under the sun in Thailand someday soon
