No one likes price increases, and if MP's are going for the extra $$, there's nothing we can do about it. Sure we can boycott them, but for how long ? And for quite a few people, this hobby is an addiction, just like smoking. Even after numerous increases in cigarette prices, the demand is still there. You know that money is going down the drain and you don't have anything to show for it, but you still keep going back. If I refrain from going to MP's completely, maybe I can get those cool gadgets from Future Shop I've always wanted. Wait, but what about visiting my favourite MPA ?!!! For some guys, satisfying their sexual urges is a lot more important, and I have fallen into that trap numerous times. From my experiences, I'd rather spend $30 more at an high-end MP than visit lower-end MP's where you might get exceptional service once in a blue moon. That's why I left dump's like Elite Retreat and Silhouette and went exclusive with Allure. I still remember those days when a 40 minute NR went for $120 and it was the most bang for the buck I've ever gotten. Now I have to pay $150 for the VIP package to experience what previously went for $30 cheaper. Sure I don't like it, and I know that I lack the mental strength of completely avoiding MPs. But I have taken a few steps to reduce the damage on my bank account:

1. Before I used to visit Allure 4-5 times in a month. Now I've cut that down to 3, so the hobbying expense is in check.

2. I tend to stick with my few favourites because I know my expectations will be met. Having too many favourites means you have to visit each one again, so cutting down on this has saved me a bundle.

3. Don't get 1 hour sessions anymore. I like the 40 minute sessions at Allure because that's just enough time to make me happy. I've visited HFH on 2 ocassion's and have only gotten 30 minute sessions. It's a bit on the short side but no way I am willing to spend more than $200 at an MP. For anything over $200, I rather visit a SP. Both are differnt experiences, but for $200+ I want sex also. I've seen a few girls from Playmates2003 and for $200, I gotten to spend a full hour with them and received FS, BJ, MSOG, LFK, and DATY. In the end, you have to draw the line somewhere and tell yourself how much are you willing to pay for a visit to a MP.

2.) WRT Tork's comments that massageplanet.netites are only a small percentage of an MPA's client base. That may be true, but the point is we've chosen to come together as a defacto "Consumer's Group"....

3.) Once again, MP's, MPA's and Clients are in a symbiotic relationship whether any side wants to acknowledge it or not.

Our posts and recommendations hopefully generate "sales leads"...

I receive several PM's a month or more asking me to comment on various SRM MPA's I've seen, and other more well known members probably receive a ton ...

4.) When one party defaults to the old "it's a business decision" stance its perceived by the other side as dictating terms of business. In which case the other side can also invoke a "business decision" and take actions to ensure it's OWN benefit...

Rather than creating an atmosphere of co-operation it creates one of hostility...

Any amount of $$$ you roll out is just fine by you, cuz a short, fat, bald, old, ugly, smelly troll like you, is "lucky" to get someone of the opposite sex to touch your "naughty" parts, is that what you're saying?, LOL. It's wankers like you that have MP owners and providers laughing all the way to the bank.

It's a no brainer, if you're a member of this board, you're a consumer. Mind you, in your case, not a very smart one . . .

I've seen Cyan on numerous occasions too, and generally for an hour at a time, but I guess I'll be cutting down my trips to SRM...

What's interesting is that the house isn't increasing it's income only the girls... (unless the girls pay some type of shift premium I'm unaware of. I've never asked)

While I've worked in sales, and certainly understand the laws of "supply and demand", these girls make their money through repeat business...

If a good percentage of clients cut down our visits, theoretically the MPA's incomes have to be affected... along with the MP...

I love Joy and Anita, but I hope GREED isn't starting to raise its ugly head

The reality is that clients work in the "real world" and we can't ask our bosses for a raise just coz our favourite MP raises its prices...

I guess you'll just have to see if paying that extra $20 is worth it or not....

I know I'll be there. I've stayed extra time in my sessions on a few occasions and have not been asked for extra money for the room fee, or paying the girl extra. It's all works out in my mind.

Yes the prices at the "permium" spas are high. But instead of complaining about them why not discuss places where you can get comparable service for less money. Frankly, I think you'll be hard pressed to find them. I can think of one place but I talk about that place enough that I don't want any shill accusations.

My self I'd rather two 1 hr BS for almost the same price as a 1 hr BS at the "premium" places. Okay the mpa may not look like Amber but she will still be young, attractive and fit.

The thing is, SRM was already at the pricing point where it matches
or exceeds escort. Now, SRM exceeds MOST escort @ $260/hr.

The price increase is more than $20 in some cases, but that extra
increase tips the scale on the whether I choose escort or MPA.

More than likely this has been mentioned in this long enduring thread: Going to see an MPA is a much better alternative than spending your night at a SC. Do the math. How much would it cost you for an hour worth of dances? $200 to $400. Are the two of you sitting buck naked grinning at each other? NO!!! Does Johnson get to express his freedom? Well, who knows?

When you get into this hobby, the main issue is control. It's not cheap! If you can't afford it, get the hell out of the hobby or go less frequently. Now we can go on forever arguing : What's a better bang for the buck, SP or MPA? It all has to do with chemistry. When you find someone that gives good service, you are probably willing to pay a fortune.

I usually go for a 45 minutes session and give a tip to my MPA. I am not sure if the MPA now would still expect a tip on top of the recommended rate from the client. But with $ 200 plus (almost equal to an hour session in HFH), other alternatives come to mind (SP/SC).

I guess I will stop going to SRM. There is no need to increase prices. There are so many great MP's out there with more competitive pricing. If we all boycott SRM for a couple of weeks, prices will be back to normal. Can't survive with no business. It's a matter of supply and demand. Basic Economics.

First of all, I want the folks at SRM to realize that all of the anger about the price changes can be flattering. We really enjoy your spa and we don't want to be in the position where it just makes more sense to go somewhere else. It's hard to justify the MP experience if it costs about the same as an incall escort, but with much lower mileage.

That said, I'm sure that there is some sort of compromise that can be worked out. I would probably be happy if the shower massage didn't cost more than the BS. Other members might have other ideas.

Stick to the half hour deal.

For me, it's the best rate.

I have opted for the 40 or 45 minute jobs sometimes, but find that generally, you get the same amount of time as the half hour deals.

Half an hour does for me what I need to be done.

Why does Micron have to reply to this? She probably knows that people aren't going to like it but it is a business move. Every business has the right to raise their prices as they see fit. If they raise their prices too high then they will loose business. That is SRM's choice.

I for one will not stop going to SRM. BUT on my next visit to an MP, I will be looking another at other MPs other than SRM before I make a choice. It will probably mean I go to another MP every third visit or so but they will not lose all my business because Joy is such a sweetheart!
