With all due respect Caliguy, your home state is run like a dictatorship by Governor Gavin Newsom. I guess the same can be said about my precious Massachusetts which is as commie as it gets. The insane lockdown measures that Newsom has imposed (that he himself defied) on top of the already crazy taxes, cost of living and homelessness crisis have led to a mass exodus. The same thing with New York. I've heard over 300,000 (maybe more by now) have left because nobody wants to pay an exorbitant rent/mortgage to live in a ghost town. I know these corporations are greedy but they're not the only ones leaving for Texas, Florida or even Georgia. Now we're in a real pickle, and the only thing that will prevent a far worse disaster is the early availability of the new vaccines.

Just look at the numbers in the rest of the world, especially the US, to see how bad it could have been had Ford not implemented even the timid restrictions that he did.

The number went up a lot after the school reopened in September. People still don't realize youth is the major factor who they don't take care much of themselves and then they might infect to their parents or grandparents. Why it happened because most young people could be Asymptomatic eventhough they got infected.

He should have done a blanket shutdown. If he's gonna kill small business, he might as well have gone the whole 9 yards. Leaving a few regions open just gives them more reason to extend these orders. This not a matter of getting the I.C.U/hospitalizations down. It's about getting them down sooner than later.

There should be a targeted timeframe for a reopening so that aggressive measures can be taken to meet that goal. If we take our sweet time, we'll have nothing left when this is all said and done. We should have something to look forward to or the pains we're going through now will be all for nothing.
