Opinion Why do MPA's expect 10$ or more for tip for basic massage with no HE?

You are an idiot, krayjee. This is coming from a guy who said he Isa kind person. Thr person who actually told thr spa to fire the old mpas. Do you have too much time on your hands? Go find more spas to promote.


I was speaking from thr perspective why certain customers pay so little tips. Tips is considered as gratitude not used as salary. Spas should add the 10 dollars tips to thr total costs to avoid disappointment from both side.

If thr girls don't like thr compensation structure, they can go work in other Jobs.

In an effort to get around that, and offer what you, the client is after, they are now getting burned by having the word “gratuity” being thrown around instead of “tip”. The spa world isn’t the Keg. At the Keg you tip as gratuity. At a spa you “tip” for a service. A service that is illegal and therefore you are lucky you are receiving it.

A recent experience of mine was going to a spa with the amount in cash I was used to paying pre-covid, and the girl offered a body slide which I wasn't thinking about getting, so I told her if she can do debit to cover the difference, and she said it's okay she will take what I have (20$ short), I came to see her again and brought that 20$ on top of the price (She has an incredible body, and the body slide is amazing, that's besides the point I suppose)

Who is this MPA with the great attitude, incredible body, and amazing body slide?

I do not think it is a divergence of opinion. It is unwillingness to understand or adhere to basic guidelines thinking every industry that uses the word “tip” is the same. It isn’t.

If it was say Amsterdam, there would be a price chart listed per service and it wouldn’t be disputable. And if you felt great about what happened, you could “tip” on top.

Unfortunately we aren’t in that situation. These women and establishments risk a lot by providing the services that they do. They can’t post the services provided in case LE comes in. That leaves the door open to cheap fucks to take advantage. Say what you want but if you are on this board and you read anything- even as a newbie you know that $5 or $10 is NOT ACCEPTABLE in any realm of the imagination.

It isn’t sucking up to MPA’s or owners. You have to be kidding. These guys know what they are doing. They do it on purpose. They are butt hurt because they are being called out for it.

I don't want to get involve in this heated discussion too much but want to share my observation in semi legit and legit spas:

The population of age group in most semi legit spas are roughly the same as many legit spas. There are a few young ones among many elder women in both semi legit and legit spas. I don't know why there is an assumption that semi legit spas have more young women. Say, in our famous E & M, I can only remember Jessica, as the outstanding young one there. Overall, the number of younger girls in E & M, Just Relax and Golden Rose Water are pretty much the same as legit ones, like comfort zone, Kelly Spa and Relaxation. The semi legit that has a lot of young girls is Suko which I think is really a hidden gem with more young girls who give good massage skill and nice attitude.

I agree that it may be better off for everyone that you go to a legit spa if you want a straight massage and it's fair for girls in a semi legit spa to expect $20 tip for work not involving any erotic activities, but the girl should have a good attitude. There are some young girls in legit spas that entertain clients with pleasant conversations besides giving an excellent massage.

Because more than one person mentioned, people go to semi legit instead of legit because there are young girls in semi legit and not so in legit, which I think is not true.

Yes, girls work in more than one spa. I am not saying Suko has monopoly of those young girls but they do have more younger girls than many semi legit. I am not a promoter, it does not benefit me in anyway, which spa you go to. I share my observations for being helpful to the group.

To say it is a turn off to negotiate for prices, Mpas expect the clients to pay the room fee first before the start of the massage session. I don't see the problem with that.

And we're talking semi-legits here...a girl might do BS for one guy but won't get naked for another guy. Or she might do dfk for only a select few...there's no real set menu at semi legits, that's the whole premise of YMMV.

The current pricing model is not broken and works for the most part, we're just talking a small % of guys that are truly cheap asses...

I am rarely asked to pay the door fee before the session. Very rarely.
And only at places I've never been before, and even then, it's rare.
Obviously, I look very trustworthy.

It boggles my mind that guys would expect someone to break their arms and backs massaging them for an hour and then whack of their greasy smegma smelling dicks for $10.
Look at a typical fs place: $40 hh for the spa and $100 to $140 for the tip. How does that work into 25%?!
A HJ is $40 tip ffs. If that's too much stay home.
